What materials does Glastrix use for signage?
Glass, mirror, wood, aluminium, steel, acrylic, copper, and ceramic — any flat substrate that fits the UV flatbed printer. Unlike commodity printers, Glastrix does not limit signage to Dibond and Forex.
How does UV-printed signage compare to vinyl-wrapped or screen-printed signs?
Vinyl wraps peel at corners and edges over time, especially outdoors. Screen printing requires expensive screens per colour and minimum runs of 50+ pieces. UV direct print on any flat substrate produces full photographic colour from a single piece, with no setup cost and a 5-year guarantee. The ink is cured permanently into the surface — not applied as a film.
Can you print on existing signs or surfaces already installed?
No — UV flatbed printing requires the surface to be flat on the press. Glastrix prints on the material before it is installed or fitted.
Is UV-printed signage weather-resistant?
UV ink is weather-resistant; durability depends on the substrate. Aluminium and glass are suitable for outdoor signage; wood requires a clear sealant for outdoor exposure. Specify outdoor use when requesting a quote.
What is the minimum order for signage printing?
